Position Overview:

A family residing in Rosedale is seeking a conscientious, proactive, hands-on House Manager/Driver to assist in the day-to-day operation of the residence, in conjunction with the Principals. A significant portion of the daily duties will include driving Principals within Toronto and to/from their secondary residence in the GTA (<1-hour) on a weekly basis. This is a full-time, live-out position, five days a week from 10AM – 6PM. Applicants should be flexible with schedules and may work some weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive Principals to the office, appointments, events, and to/from secondary residence
• Calendar management and coordination with Personal Assistant
• Maintain and service vehicles, as needed
• Run regular errands, grocery shop, prepare and/or cook simple meals, as required
• A versatile hands-on manager, able to complete household tasks and coordinate with Principals, trades and vendors, as required
• Pet care and occasional dog walking, as required
• Perform frequent household walk-throughs and inspections of the primary and secondary households to ensure both are well maintained
• Coordinate with the Property Manager of the secondary residence to ensure the home is ready for Principals’ arrival and help get Principals settled in upon arrival
• Schedule, execute and/or manage seasonal projects including but not limited to opening/closing/cleaning the pool, maintaining the walkways/snow removal, etc.
• Manage/supervise contractors and other service providers
• Manage household inventories, implement organizational strategies, and complete special projects and other duties, as required

Applicant Qualities:

• Must possess excellent time management skills, be punctual, courteous, possess keen attention to detail and follow through on all tasks and projects assigned
• Must be service oriented, proactive, and able to anticipate Principals’ needs
• Must maintain an accident free, infraction free driving record (Class G)
• No child care required, but must be comfortable working in the presence of children
• Pets in the home; must be animal-friendly
• Excellent English communication skills and polished professional presentation
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends, as required
• Must have thorough knowledge of the city of Toronto and the GTA
• Be physically fit; able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must maintain privacy, confidentiality, exercise diplomacy and discretion
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Salary is commensurate with experience.
