Why is Domestic Staff Planning Important?

For either a family moving into a new home or a family experiencing chronic staff turnover and other challenges, the need to develop an effective and workable staffing model is essential. Good planning helps lay the foundation for a happy, stable household that satisfies service expectations within budget.

What does a Staff Plan include?

Our methodology for staff planning includes:

•  A property visit to learn the household culture and the service requirements of the family
•  A full review of the current staffing model including current employee organizational chart, reporting structure, payroll, schedules, job descriptions, etc.
   

After the review process, we present an alternative-staffing model that includes:

• An employee organizational chart that is re-optimized for efficiency and cohesion
• A budget plan for payroll
• A revised employee schedule that accounts for the maintenance and service requirements of the household
• Job descriptions that are workable, effective, realistic and in tune with the needs of the household
• A road plan for moving forward
