In August 2009, Charles MacPherson Associates was invited back by the venerable Hotel Fouquet'sBarrière in Paris to follow up on a previous engagement in which a training program for the butler department was customized and installed.
In our follow up assignment we met with the senior hotel management team to review the current status of the department, its progress since our previous engagement and its challenges going forward.
Our assignment included:
A thorough assessment of the butler team, which included a quantitative evaluation of the skills and knowledge retained by the butlers from our previous engagement
The assessment resulted in a review with the butler team of the Housekeeper’s Eye, best practices for room introductions, writing notes to guests during stays and departures as well as in-room dining protocols
Additionally, best practices for inter-departmental communications, with an emphasis on housekeeping, were trained
