Charles MacPherson Associates (CMA) was retained in October 2009 by Langdon Hall Country House & Spa, a Relaix & Chateaux property located in southwestern Ontario, Canada. Langdon Hall is a four-diamond hotel with an award winning five-diamond restaurant.
The hotel has determined that its Housekeeping Department is critical to the hotel’s strategy to augment its AAA rating from four to five diamonds. CMA’s role was to train the supervisors and room attendants and to strategically position the housekeeping department to achieve Langdon Hall’s goals.
The engagement included:
A review of the current standard operating procedures for the Housekeeping Department
A site visit which focused on the detailing of guest rooms
An evaluation of the housekeeping team and identification of strengths and areas for improvement
Customized training for the housekeeping team based on the results of the evaluation that was delivered over a period of two days
Charles MacPherson Associates has been invited back by Langdon Hall to continue with the initiative that was started in October 2009.
