Domestic Couple

Seeking an experienced and professional full-time, live-in domestic couple, for a semi-formal residence located. Applicants should be flexible with schedules and travel when required by principals. Private accommodations provided in residence with vehicle.
Position Overview:
The couple will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the residence and property, both the interior and exterior care to maintain high standards and efficiency. Position will require travel to vacation property to Florida during winter months. Position will require assisting with child and pet care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day running of the residence and property.
- Full participation with housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe management.
- Care of fine furnishings and finishes.
- Hands-on care for the general interior and exterior maintenance.
- Scheduling and supervision of trades / vendors / landscapers for seasonal work year round.
- Monitoring household budgets and costs for vendors & trades.
- Organize and manage household inventories, closets and storage areas.
- Planning and assisting with entertaining.
- Running of errands and grocery shopping.
- Managing pantry and household inventories.
- Light cooking for simple nutritious family-style meals for children.
- Assisting with childcare (mother is stay at home).
- Serving of meals.
- Pet care and supervision.
- Light garden care.
- Greeting of guests and visitors.
- Answering of telephone and messages.
- Vehicle management and driving duties as requested.
- Travel to vacation home for opening / prep of residence and closing.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Applicant Qualities:
- Previous experience working in a semi-formal / formal style of residence is a must.
- Applicants must be service oriented and self-starters.
- Knowledge for the treatment and care of fine furnishings and finishes a must.
- Applicants must be comfortable with children and to assist with care as required.
- Good cooking and basic culinary skills.
- Experience with gardens & landscaping will be considered a strong asset.
- Applicants should be energetic with a strong work ethic.
- Applicants should have a neat and polished appearance.
- Applicants should have strong communication skills and ability to anticipate needs of the principals.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- One person must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada and have valid passports.
Salary and benefits dependent on previous experience and employment.
