Seeking a professionally trained and experienced Nanny for a family located in Toronto, Ontario Canada. A full-time, live-in position with primary responsibility being the care of two children.  Applicants must be patient, trustworthy and nurturing. Applicants must be comfortable with pets. Must be flexible with schedules and able to travel.
 
Position Overview:
Primary responsibility is to provide a caring, safe and structured environment for the children. Responsibilities will include child supervision and daily care for preparing feedings, meals, wardrobes, children’s laundry and care of nurseries.  
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility will be the care of two children; toddler & school age.
  • The care and well being of the children, to provide a safe, nurturing and structured environment.
  • Daily baths, dress, preparing healthy & nutritious meals.
  • Daily housekeeping of nurseries, bathroom, children’s laundry and stock of appropriate products.
  • Plan educational playtime activities for the children and maintain schedules with parents.
  • To nurture and provide stimulation for the child’s education and growth.
  • Regular meetings with parents on daily or weekly basis to discuss childcare.
  • Occasional driving to doctor’s or playgroup appointments, vehicle will be provided for work purposes.
  • Private accommodations will be provided in residence.
  • Position requires applicants to be flexible with schedules and to be available for travel with family to vacation homes.
  • Schedule is full-time; hours and days off will rotate, to work effectively with existing staff to maintain household standards in a team-environment.
 
Applicant Qualities:
  • Previous experience and education in child care is a must.
  • Previous experience working in a semi-formal style of residence a must.
  • Must be flexible with work schedules and accommodating to being available on occasion.
  • Applicants must be patient, trustworthy and nurturing, to be a role model for the children and having good values and morals. 
  • A polished professional who is flexible and energetic, who can work as a team player with existing staff.
  • Must have a sense and respect of boundaries, exercise discretion, privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times. 
  • Applicants must be service oriented, pleasant with good communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle will be considered an asset, although not mandatory.
  • First Aid training and certificates is preferable.
  • Applicants must be comfortable with pets.
  • Applicants will be required to submit to a criminal and credit background check.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada with valid passport and no travel restrictions.
 
Salary will be dependent on previous employment, experience and training.
